Earlier today we were informed that Sadriddin Akhmedov (10-0, 9) [Ахмедов Садриддин] has had his next opponent confirmed.
The unbeaten Kazakh, who will return to the ring on December 7th at the Bell Centre in Montreal, will be up against Argentinian Jose Antonio Villalobos (12-5-2, 7).
The talented Akhmedov will be fighting for the 5th time this year, and look to build on his 7th round TKO win in October against Johnny Navarrete. The hope will then be fore bigger fights in 2020 for Akhmedov, who has been busy this year, but not progressing in terms of level of opposition, moving laterally as opposed to progressing.
The 25 year old Villalobos has been a professional since 2014 and has faced some stiff competition, but lost to all the notable names he has been matched with, with losses to Patryk Szymanski, Alan Emmanuel Castano, Kamil Szeremeta and Khuseyn Baysangurov. Despite the 5 losses he has only been stopped once, though that was just 2 fights ago against Baysangurov.
This bouts comes on a card headlined by a Super Middleweight clash between David Lemieux (40-4, 34) and Max Bursak (35-5-3, 16), and although a mismatch in favour of Akhmedov it's sometimes easy to forget that he is only 21 and only debuted in April 2018, so time really is on his side.
