Earlier today saw unbeaten Middleweights begin to work together as Japan's Ryota Murata (4-0, 4) linked up with WBA "super" champion Gennady Golovkin (29-0, 26) as two began training together at altitude in Big Bear, California.
Murata, who flew out to the US for a 10 day training camp with Golovkin, will be helping the Kazakh prepare for his upcoming world title defence against Daniel Geale on July 26th. For Golovkin this will see him in with a talented and strong fighter who will be expected to help push the Kazakh to reaching his peak ahead of his fight. For Murata it's a chance to work with one of the truly elite fighters and pick up what he can from both general training and from sparring.
Whilst we know all the details about Golovkin's next bout their are still details to be announced about Murata's, though it is expected to to be in Singapore in October as promotional outfit Top Rank attempt to extend their reach through Asia adding Singapore to Macau.
