Unbeaten Japanese Middleweight hopeful Ryota Murata (5-0, 4) will be returning to training later this week as he prepares for one more before the end of the year.
Murata revealed his gym return whilst working for Japanese TV channel WOWOW over the weekend as part of their coverage for the Floyd Mayweather rematch with Marcos Madaiana. Although he didn't announce a date or opponent for up coming bout.
Although clearly disappointed by being taken 10 rounds last time out Murata appears to have taken positives from the bout and will likely work on the issues that arose in that bout, for example issues with stamina which were very clearly late in the contest. Hopefully we'll see a fitter Murata when he does return to the ring though at the moment all we know is that he will be back in training in the next few days.
With his fight later this year we're going to assume that Murata may be featured on the same card as Naoya Inoue's next bout, after all the two are contracted to Fuji TV who have shown the two men together on several shows already. This could also be Murata first 12 round bout and is likely to be a step up from Adrian Luna Flores, though we're not expecting an internationally known name. In all honesty we suspect Murata will be fighting either another Latin American import or alternatively a European foe who could bring something new to the ring for Murata to try and solve.
