Earlier today fans had the chance to see future world title challenger Ryoichi Taguchi (20-2-1, 8) take part in his public training session, ahead of his WBA Light Flyweight world title fighter with Peruvian world champion Alberto Rossel (32-8-0-1, 13).
In preparation for this bout the talented Japanese fighters had taken part in some of the best quality sparring he possibly could prior to this fight. That including sparring with former world champion Naoya Inoue, former 2 weight world champion Akira Yaegashi, fast rising prospect Takuma Inoue and 3-weight world champion Roman Gonzalez. The training session however was much lower key and seemed to be more about showing off his conditioning than anything else.
With the training having gone well the fighter seems confident and promised to stop Rossel when the two men meet on December 31st. If Taguchi records a win, as he hopes, he'll have scored the biggest victory of his career by far and if he can stop Rossel then he'll have made a real statement to end the year.
