We are glad to report that Japan's Ryo Miyazaki (20-1-3, 11) has successfully made weight earlier today for his bout with Indonesian journeyman Ichal Tobida (10-12, 8).
The bout, which was made at a contracted 50KG, saw Miyazaki coming in 300g's inside the limit and looking significantly more alive than the last time we saw him on the scales. Of course it was the fact Miyazaki had messed up his weight for his last bout that saw him suffer a stunning upset loss at the hands of Fahlan Sakkreerin Jr on New Years Eve. This time Miyazaki has had no issues with weight and is said to be in great condition.
As for Tobida he too made weight. The interesting thing about the Indonesian wasn't that he had made weight but instead it was that he stood significantly taller than Miyazaki.
As for the fight it's self Miyazaki sounded confident. He admit he didn't know much about his opponent but that he was she he would finish him off inside the distance. On paper that sounds doesn't sound particularly impressive given that Tobida has already suffered 5 stoppage losses, however he has been fighting against more powerful fighters than Miyazaki recently and he may not be as easy to take out as the Japanese fighter seems to think.
