The offer works out to be around $286,000 or £220,000,not a huge pay day compared to the biggest fighters in the sport but a really sizeable offer given the profile of Teerachai and Avanesyan.
The rumour suggests that the Thai's want to host the bout in Thailand in either November or December with their man getting a long anticipated "world" title fight.
The unbeaten Thai has been slowly working towards a big opportunity whilst staying active and defending the PABA title on a consistent basis and despite his 35-0 record hs is still only 24 and hasn't even been a professional for 7 years. He has however never faced anyone like the Russian champion who is unbeaten since 2009, when he suffered a defeat in his second bout to Andrey Klimov. Since then he has climbed through the ranks, claimed the interim title and beaten faded legend Shane Mosley.
Although still a rumour our sources have stated that the offer has been in the pipeline for some time and it seems likely that they will indeed make that offer in the near future.
