Earlier today saw a press conference with the fighters involved in the Rookie of the Year East finals in early November. The presser was to try and establish some familiarity with the fighters set to take part in in the show and also get all the fighters pictured before the fights of their life, so far. Of course for the winners a bigger fight awaits as they go for the all-Japan Rookie of the year.
The show which takes part on Sunday November 2nd really is a major one and will feature 12 bouts in total as the fighters attempt to become the East Rookie of the Year in divisions ranging from Minimumweight to Middleweight.
Although most fighters of the fighters did make the event one man really got more of the attention than the others, that was 18 year old sensation Andy Hiraoka (5-0, 3) who has really been the star of the tournament in many ways.
Hiraoka, pictured with his foe in the tournament final Shintaro Nakamura (5-2-1, 2), has genuinely been the talk of the competition so far. Aged 18 he was at the press in hie school outfit and has really stood out in many ways hence why he received so much attention. Saying that however the promising youngster is one of 24 men on the show and they all deserve credit for getting so far in the competition.
We will be hoping to break down each of the bouts on an upcoming feature, if time permits, though if not we will make sure to bring all the results of what promises to be a very exciting card.
