Tomorrow's Dangan show at the Korakuen Hall is, by far, one of the most exciting and promising cards that Japan will see during the month of August. One of the reasons it's such a good card is the depth, with a number of really looking bouts.
One of those bouts will see former Japanese Bantamweight champion Rikiya Fukuhara (30-8-1, 22), who is currently ranked #1 by the JBC at Featherweight, facing off against Yusuke Nakagawa (8-3-1, 4), who is currently ranked #5 at Super Feather by the JBC.
The bout, being fought at a contracted weight of 58KG's, or 127.87lbs, saw both men make weight at the first attempt and both looked in great shape at the weigh in.
On paper this is a really tough bout for Nakagawa who is facing his best opponent by far however Fukuhara is stepping up, at least partly, in weight and at 36 may well be close to coming to the end of his fun to watch career.
