The under-rated Sismundo enters the bout on a 5 fight unbeaten run, including wins over Shuhei Tsuchiya, Akihio Kondo and Yoshitaka Kato, and has proven to be much better than his record indicates. That run, which has included 4 wins and a draw, has followed a decision loss in an OPBF title fight against the very promising Masayoshi Nakatani back in May 2014, with that loss being Sismundo's sole defeat in the last 4 years.
As for Felix he too is on a 5 fight unbeaten run, all wins, since suffering a decision loss in April 2014 to Bryan Vasquez. Since that loss Felix has beaten Raymond Sermona, in an opening round blow out in Macau, and Yakubu Amidu. This however is a step back up for the Mexican who has been tipped as a future world champion.
The bout is set to be the the main event on a Top Rank promoted card, which will be aired in the USA on UniMas.
