Earlier today we were informed that the much anticipated rematch between Rey Loreto (19-13, 11) and Nkosinathi Joyi (24-3-0-1, 17) has had to be rescheduled. Orginally the bout was supposed to be fought this month though unfortunately a problem on behalf of the promoter has forced the bout to be delalyed until February 28th.
The bout will be for the IBO Light Flyweight title that Loreto won when he shocked Joyi earlier this year with a stunning knockout. Sadly this rematch comes almost a year after the original bout and any momentum the Filipino had is now gone, despite having scored a stay busy win over Heri Amol.
In the first bout between the two men Loreto entered the bout as a relative unknown but shocked the boxing world by upsetting the odds in Monaco. This time we suspect Joyi will be out for revenge though there will, of course, be questions as to whether or not the touted South African can avoid the power of "The Hitman".
