We are happy to report that Friday's WBC Silver Super Bantamweight title fight between China's rising star Qiu Xiao Jun (17-2, 7) and Filipino visitor Diarh Gabutan (19-4-3, 10) will be aired on Chinese TV channel CCTV5.
The bout, which appears to have been hidden very well on their EPG, is set to be aired at 10:30PM Beijing time and has a 1 hour slot. For our British readers that'll be 15:30 whilst, unfortunately, our American readers will need to convert the time for their area.
The broadcast appears to only be airing the the main event, which means that fans hoping to see unbeaten Thai Kaewfah Tor Buamas (19-0, 13) may end up missing out.
For those unaware Jun is currently ranked #1 by the WBC at Super Bantamweight and is likely to get a world title fight in the coming years, if he continues to rack up wins. He's not a huge name, like Zou Shiming, though plenty feel that he is the most promising talent currently plying his trade in China and could potentially become the countries second world champion, following in the footsteps of Zovi stablemate Xiong Zhao Zhong.
