We've known since July that Hidenori Otake (29-2-3, 13) [大竹 秀典] would be defending his OPBF Super Bantamweight title against Hinata Maruta (5-0, 4) [丸田 陽七太] on October 13th at the Korakuen Hall. We haven't however heard much news about the overall card, or the details of the show.
Earlier today however we saw a poster image being revealed by Maruta himself, and it seems a strange one. The image doesn't reveal any details about the under-card or even feature an image of the champion, though it does feature the challenger and looks to be a poster based around him, and not the more experienced fighter.
With the bout now less than 2 months away it's going to be interesting to see how the show develops, and seeing whether this is the final poster, or more of an unofficial Maruta one, as it would seem odd for Kaneko gym not to have a poster with their champion on it, especially as the show has been revealed to be "Golden Child Boxing Vol. 121", a show under their banner.
Hopefully we'll see details coming out sooner rather than later, though from what we understand the show will not be given any live TV coverage, though will almost certainly have tape delay footage, with TBS looking likely to be the channel where that airs on a "Guts Fighting" broadcast, with TBS perhaps looking at making Maruta into a star long term, or helping Otake get a second world title fight in 2018.
