Earlier today saw the release of the poster for "Earnest Efforts 3", a show that is set for February 19th at the Korakuen Hall. The card will be headlined by two female world title bouts and is looking like a small and interesting card, especially for fans of female boxing.
The main event of the card will see IBF female Light Flyweight champion Naoko Shibata (13-3, 4) defending her title for the 3rd time as she takes on fellow Japanese fighter Saemi Hanagata (9-5-2, 4). For those trying to identify these two women on the poster Shibata is at the front with the IBF title and "Naoko" written on her top whilst Hanagata is in the background. For Hanagata this bout is pivotal one giving her her first opportunity at a world title though it does come after a loss last time out to Mika Oda, a loss that saw Hanagata losing the OPBF female Minimumweight title.
The chief support bout will see WBC Atomweight champion Momo Koseki (19-2-1, 6) defending her belt, though at the moment her opponent has yet to be announce.
As for the poster it's an interesting one and follows a similar imagery to other "Earnest Efforts" posters which have had a similar pink colouring to them. We won't claim we're big fans of them but they do seem to stand out.
