We've known for a few days that Takashi Miura (28-2-2, 21) was the betting favourite for his upcoming WBC Super Featherweight title fight with Australian Billy Dib (39-3-0-1, 23), with the Japanese fighter being available at 1/3 whilst Dib was around 10/3. Earlier today however we were made aware that a number of new markets had been made available courtesy of Paddy Power.
For us the most notable of those markets was the "Method of Victory" market, which priced Miura at a ridiculously good 9/4 to win inside the distance, a price that our good friend Marcus Bellinger stated was "#betoftheweek" something that is hard to argue with. For those who think Dib will survive then Miura by decision is may interest you at 6/5. For those favouring Dib he is 9/2 to get the decision and 11/2 to score the stoppage.
Another similarly good bet is for the fight to not go the distance, with odds available at 5/4 whilst it's 4/7 to go the scheduled 12 rounds. We're unsure who priced that but they certainly look to be the wrong way round having seen Dib's recent bouts and Miura's recent destructions of good Mexican fighters.
They also have odds on the knockdowns. Dib to be dropped at any point is 6/4 whilst Miura being dropped is 7/2. For Dib to be knocdwon and win you can get 9/1 whilst Miura achieving the same feat is 15/2. As for both fightings being dropped that's also 9/1.
