Tomorrow fight fans in Japan will be able to see an intriguing match up between touted youngster Hinata Maruta (5-0, 4) [丸田 陽七太] and OPBF Super Bantamweight champion Hidenori Otake (29-2-3, 13) [大竹 秀典].
Today the two men took part in their weigh in for the contest and both came in under the 122lbs limit.
The defending champion looked in great shape as he came in at 121.75lbs, the same weight that he's been in his his last 2 bouts. For a man in his mid 30's it's clear he's tkaing his career incredibly seriously as he continues to chase a second world title fight, which he expects to get if he comes out on top here.
Maruta also came in at 121.75lbs and like Otake he looked in great shape, though did appear to look like the youngster he is and it's clear that his body still has a lot of developing to do as he matures. Although making his Korakuen Hall debut he seemed confident and calm, and it's obvious that a win for him tomorrow would be massive.
For fans wanting to watch this bout, it will be aired on TBS on tape delay early next week.
