Tomorrow Japanese fans at the Korakuen Hall get the chance to see a potential firecracker as Hiroki Okada (11-0, 9) [岡田 博喜] defends his Japanese 140lb title against the all action Koichi Aso (20-6-1, 13) [麻生 興一].
Today the men took part in the weigh in for the bout with Okada being the heavier man on the scales. The champion scaled bang on the divisional limit of 140lbs and looked in great condition for what will be his second bout of the year, following an easy win over Masanobu Nakazawa in January.
Aso on the other hand was 139.3lbs for the bout, well under the limit, but like the champion looked in great great shape for the bout.
The bout will be the second meeting between these two men, with Okada winning their first with a narrow decision back in 2014. This will also be Okada's 4th defense of the title.
