Over the new year period Celes Gym published the official poster for the February 18th IBF Bantamweight world title eliminator between Ryosuke Iwasa (18-1, 11) and Sergio Perales (24-2, 16). The poster, which can be seen on the right, plays on Iwasa's nickname of "Eagle Eye" with an eagle behind him.
Whilst we won't pretend the poster is the best we've seen we do need to admit that we do like it. It's sharp, striking and interesting with several interesting subtleties included in it. The Eagle is the obvious one whilst the image of the world is clever suggestion that the bout is a step towards a world title fight. Clever
The bout will see the winner becoming the #1 contender for current IBF Bantamweight champion, currently Randy Caballero (22-0, 13) who will be defending his belt against former Shinsuke Yamanaka foe Alberto Guevara (18-2, 6).
As well as the very good looking main event we've also been informed that the card will feature two of Iwasa's stablemates from the Celes gym. They include the touted and highly promising Koki Koshikawa (3-0, 1) alongside the more limited Isao Aoyama (5-3, 1), neither of whom have had their opponents formerly announced as of yet.
Whilst the show isn't fully announced yet the ticket prices have been announced and they have been put in to 3 stages of pricing, with the cheapest of them costing ¥7000, the middle price being ¥10,000 and the most pricey being ¥15,000.
