Recent blog entries by former WBA interim Light Middleweight champion Nobuhiro Ishida (25-10-2, 10) have been greatly encouraging for those who are hoping that the popular Japanese fighter will manage to claim the Japanese Heavyweight title later this year.
A recent picture of Ishida, as seen opposite, show just how great he looks at the moment as he not only stays in shape but continues to develop his body ahead of a crack at a national Heavyweight crown.
Whilst he's been working at the gym, obviously, he's also been working hard at Kinki university as he's taken part in some amateur style training and practices. These practices have apparently been very fast paced helping Ishida maintain his speed, movement and stamina as well as being a refreshing change from the professional style training that he's been partaking in for much of his career.
Although no date has been set for his next contest we're expecting him to fight for the Japanese title by the end of the year. Whether that bout will be with former rival Kyotaro Fujimoto (9-1, 5) or not is a big question though we can't see any way in which the JBC will not be ordering a title fight involving in the near future, especially considering Ishida's #2 ranking.
