This coming Sunday fight fans in Japan will get the chance to see WBA Super Bantamweight champion Nehomar Cermeno (26-5-1-1, 15) defending his title against unbeaten Japanese challenger Shun Kubo (11-0, 8).
Today, ahead of the bout, Cermeno took part in a public training session at the Shinsei Gym in Kobe.
The session saw saw the 37 year old veteran working lightly in terms of his movement but looking sharp as he worked the mitts and he looked in great shape, a testamen to the fact he's done 200 rounds of sparring for this bout and has veeb in Japan for a while, getting used to the conditions.
The experienced champion seemed to have scouted Kubo and was confident of defeating the young challenger, and then returning to Japan to make another defense in the country, which has a host of world class Super Bantamweights.
