The biggest name involved in the show is WBO Super Flyweight champion Naoya Inoue (10-0, 8) [井上 尚弥], who will be facing Thai challenger Petchbarngborn Kokietgym (38-7-1, 18) [เพชรบางบอน ก่อเกียรติยิม]. At the event stated his hand had no issues and that it was 100% healed following his last bout, a decision win over David Carmona. He also stated that he was focusing on his fight before looking ahead to next weekend's WBC title fight between Carlos Cuadras and Roman Gonzalez.
Petchbarngborn's trainer, Chatchai Sasakul, stated that his fighter had to make the most of his opportunity whilst the fighter himself seemed confident and calm whilst also seemingly happy to be getting a shot at a top fighter.
Naoya's younger brother Takuma Inoue (7-0, 2) [井上 拓真] stated that he wanted a good performance against Filipino Froilan Saludar (23-1-1, 14), as he looked to make a statement and prepare for a world title fight in the very near future.
Another fighter from the televised card, Satoshi Shimizu (0-0) [清水 聡] also spoke, ahead of his debut against Korean fighter In Kyoo Lee (3-2, 1) [이인규], and it seemed like he was confident and excited about making a mark on the professional fight scene.
