Tomorrow fight fans will get the chance to see WBO Super Flyweight champion Naoya Inoue (10-0, 8) [井上 尚弥] defend his title against Thai challenger Petchbarngborn Kokietgym (38-7-1, 18) [เพชรบางบอน ก่อเกียรติยิม]. That bout was confirmed this morning after both men made weight for the bout and passed the final hurdle before getting in to the ring.
On the scales both men were 52.1KG's which was dead on the divisional limit. This is the 4th successive time that Inoue has weighed in at 115lbs dead on, show an excellent level of professionalism following his reign at 108lbs, a weight class that he was struggling to make earlier in his career.
For Petchbarngborn the details on his previous weights are harder to find, however he was 115lbs for his last bout in Japan, a 2013 loss to Sho Ishida.
At the weigh in Petchbarngborn looked slightly fleshy whilst Inoue, as always, looked in great condition and it was one of the few times where Inoue didn't look gaunt in the face, showing just how well he made the weight this time around!
