Earlier today saw the medical screening of both Japanese wonder kid Naoya Inoue and WBC Light Flyweight champion Adrian Hernandez ahead of their world title fight on Sunday.
The medical, which takes measurements of the fighters, left us with some very interesting details about the two men.
The first notable thing we saw was that the height of the two men was identical, something that wasn't actually expected. It was thought that Hernandez would have several of height advantage over Inoue but it seems that those thoughts were wrong.
It's also worth making a note of the fact that Inoue has a 6cm reach advantage. A key advantage when you consider how good his fast and accurate jab is. This would allow him to keep Hernandez at arms length whilst also picking Hernandez off coming in.
Of course those size advantages for Inoue are somewhat levelled off by the fact that Hernandez has 27 fights more than the Japanese youngster. Those 27 fights also include 8 world title fights giving him a serious edge at the elite level.
One thing is for sure, this fight has split boxing fans and should be absolutely thrilling.
