Earlier today it was announced that IBF female Light Flyweight champion Naoko Shibata (13-3, 4) would be defending her belt early next year in an all Japanese clash. Shibata, who won the title last November with a decision over the then unbeaten Alondra Garcia, has already defended the belt twice and will be making the third defense against Saemi Hanagata (9-4-2, 4), the former OPBF female Minimumweight champion. For the challenger this is her second world title fight following a loss, in December 2012, to Momo Koseki.
The bout has been agreed for February 19th and will take place at the Korakuen Hall. At the moment we've not been given details about the under-card however we are expecting the main event o be exciting given the styles of the two women involved in the bout.
