Earlier today Muto gym held a press confrence to announce their next show, "You Will Be The Champion 7", which will take place on April 9th at the Sumiyoshi Ward Center in Osaka City.
The press conference didn't announce all the bout but did announce that several notable fighters would be on the card.
The most significant of those fighters is OPBF Bantamweight champion Mark John Yap (25-12, 11). The Japanese based Filipino will not be making the first defense of the title, but will be headlining the card in an 8 rounder against a limited Thai foe, who will likely be an easy stay busy fight for the talented Yap.
Former OPBF Light Middleweight champion Takayuki Hosokawa (28-11-5, 9) [細川 貴之] will also be in action against a Thai visitor. This will be Hosokawa's first bout since he lost the OPBF title in November to Yutaka Oishi and he'll be looking to record his first win in over a year, with a loss and draw in his last two.
Another man looking to bounce back from a recent loss is Masahiro Sakamoto (8-1, 4) [坂本 真宏], who is looking to rebuild following a loss to Sho Kimura for the WBO Asia Pacific Flyweight title. His opponent hasn't been named though there is hope that it will be someone who will serve as more than just a simple win.
The three men mentioned above will all be in 8 rounders, as will Japanese ranked 140lb'der Kazuyasu Okamoto (13-4, 3) [岡本 和泰], who will be fighting at Welterweight.
Although not yet confirmed there is a suspicion this show could end up on Boxingraise as they have covered other recent Muto shows in recent months.
