Earlier today Olamsport reported that WBA #1 ranked Super Bantamweight Murodjon Akhmadaliev (5-0, 4) [Ахмадалиев, Муроджон Кахарович] would be returning to the ring later this week.
The talented Uzbek hopeful, who is expected to getting a world title shot later this year, will face off against former WBC Bantamweight challenger Carlos Carlson (23-5, 14).
The bout has seemingly been made on short notice, and will take place in LA on Friday, as part of a Thompson boxing show at the Double Tree Hotel.
The bout is expected to be little more than a tune up for the Uzbek, who is an exceptional talent, and it'll be great to see him back in the ring, though the contest will do little to prepare him for his eventual world title fight. As for Carlson this is another relatively high profile bout, though he has lost 4 of his last 5, including stoppage losses to Shinsuke Yamanaka and Genesis Servania.
