Having scored his third straight win this past weekend plans have already turned to the future for Ryota Murata (3-0, 3) who is looking for his first domestic fight of 2014.
Although a venue, opponent and exact date are yet to be arranged it appears likely that Murata's next bout will take place at the end of May or the start of June.
A number of possible venues have been mentioned with venues in Tokyo and Sendai being strongly rumoured though Murata himself has said it's down to Mr Honda and Teiken to arrange the contest. Saying that however there are only a handful of venues really in the running due to the demand to see Murata in action.
We're expecting another experienced opponent for Murata who will be looking to get more rounds under his belt before appearing on a Singapore show later in the year as he fights for the second time on international soil.
Regarding the Singapore show, there were reports that we echoed yesterday suggesting a fight in Japan may have been taken off the table. From today's news however it has been made very clear that Murata will be fighting at home next before then going on to the Singapore show later in the year.
