In one of the most disappointing stories of the day it appears South African fighter Moruti Mthalane (29-2, 20), has pulled out of his scheduled IBF Flyweight title defense against Amnat Ruenroeng (11-0, 5) which was set for next week.
We hope to have more on this story in the next 24 hours, though it seems that Mthalane was unhappy with the meagre payment he was to receive for traveling to Bangkok to face the unbeaten Thai.
As a result of this pull out Mthalane, who hasn't fought for over a year, has been stripped of his title by the IBF. We're unsure on the next move of IBF's though it would seem incredibly harsh on Amnat if he is not given a chance at fighting for the belt, especially considering that Mthalane's pull out has been left this late.
