Tomorrow is a very busy day for fans of Japanese women with several notable fighters fighting through Japan. Those same fans will also turn their attention to Australia where 3-weight OPBF female champion Kimika Miyoshi (13-8-1, 5) [三好 喜美佳] battles against Shannon O'Connell (12-4-1, 7) in a bout for the WBC Silver female Super Bantamweight title.
Today the two women weigh in for their bout Surprisingly Miyoshi came in at 121.4lbs, around 4lbs lighter than she was in her most recent bout, and about 8lbs lighter than she was back in March, when she claimed the OPBF female Super Featherweight title.
As for O'Connell, the defending champion, was bang 122lbs, the divisional limit, and she looked in brilliant condition for the bout, which will be her first defense of the title and potentially see her moving back towards a proper world title in the near future.
