WBA Atomweight champion Ayaka Miyao will make the third defense of the title she claimed last December as she takes on #1 ranked Filipino Gretchen Abaniel.
The bout, scheduled for November 28th at the Korakuen Hall, will be Miyao's third successive bout at "The Hall" whilst Abaniel will be traveling to Japan for the first time.
Aged 27 Abaniel has had a hard career so far facing the likes of the then WBA Minimumweight champion Cho-Rong Son, Samson Tor Buamas, Katia Gutierrez and Teeraporn Pannimit though will feel that that level of competition has prepared her for the 30 year old Miyao.
Miyao herself has also shared the ring with some talented individuals including Tor Buamas, Tenkai Tsunami, Naoka Shibata and Mari Ando.
With the competition of both women and the pride of both fighters we do expect something rather special here in what could be a late comer for female fight of the year.
