With all the big action taking place in Tokyo on Sunday it maybe easy to forget that the Korakuen Hall is playing host to two former world champions on Saturday. One of those is former WBC Super Featherweight champion Takashi Miura (29-3-2, 22) [三浦 隆司], who faces Filipino Lightweight Jonel Gadapan (11-8-2, 7), in what is Miura's first bout since his 2015 FOTY with Francisco Vargas.
Unsurprisingly the former champion is a clear betting favourite, priced at a less than interesting 1/100 to win the bout. For those who may think that Miura is damaged good there might be some interest on Gadapan at 18/1, whilst the draw is 33/1.
We, like the bookies, suspect Miura will come through this one with ease but strange things have recently happened in sport with Leicester City FC recently shocking the English Premier League and maybe we do over-look the under-dog some times
