Not it seems that the bout is finally set with a destination and a date.
According to sources in the Philippines the bout will take place in Cebu City, Philippines on November 26th.
With the bout taking place in Cebu, we'll see Melindo have home advantage for a major fight. something he's not had for his biggest fights so far with his losses being suffered in Macao and Mexico. Travelling however won't be a major issue for Fahlan who scored his biggest win in Japan, stopping Ryo Miyazaki, and was unlucky not to claim the IBF Minimumweight title in 2015 when he fought Katsunari Takayama.
At the moment the details regarding the card haven't been released but we're expecting to see details emerge shortly.
The winner of this match up will be the mandatory title challenger for Japan's Akira Yaegashi, with that bout likely to take place in early 2017.
