Tomorrow Japanese fans will get the chance to see the return of the "Strongest Korakuen". One of the bouts which will be held as part of that comes at Bantamweight and will see former Japanese champion Kentaro Masuda (22-7, 11) battle against the unheralded Hideo Sakamoto (16-1-3, 5).
On the scales it was Sakamoto who was the heavier man, coming in just under the 118lb limit. The weight wasn't his only advantage however as he towered over Masuda who will be giving away significant natural size when the men get into the ring tomorrow.
Masuda, who lost his title earlier this year to the fantastic Shohei Omori, was notably under-the-limit, weighing in at 117¾lbs. Whilst he'll be the naturally smaller man he is the more experienced fighter and has fought at a higher level than Sakamoto, who will be hoping that this bout will be his "coming out party".
