We have been informed by one of our Japanese sources that former Japanese Light Flyweight champion Masayuki Kuroda (21-5-3, 13) is set to return to the ring on September 17th in a show at the Korakuen Hall.
Kuroda, who hasn't fought since April 10th, will be hoping to end a 5 fight win-less streak that dates back to his split decision draw with Ryoichi Taguchi back in March 2012. That 5 fight streak has included not only draws, with Taguchi and Toshimasa Ouchi and Hyobu Nakagama but also losses to Juan Carlos Reveco, in a WBA world title fight, and Suguru Muranaka, in a Japanese title fight.
The full details of Kuroda's return haven't yet been released though it seems that he will be fighting a Thai opponent.
