That main story from the announcement was that they would be promoting an OPBF Lightweight title fight between current champion Masayoshi Nakatani (11-0, 6) [中谷 正義], from the Ioka gym, and their own fighter Tosho Makoto Aoki (20-13-2, 17) [闘将 青木 誠].
The bout is a notable bout given that it's an OPBF title contest between two Osakan based fighters, but is expected to be a major mismatch.
The unbeaten Nakatani has looked like a fighter on his way to a world title bout since scoring a break out win back in 2013, when he stopped Shuhei Tsuchiya. Since that win he has won the OPBF title, beating Yoshitaka Kato, and recorded 4 defenses of the belt, scarcely losing a round since winning the belt more than 2 years ago.
Aoki on the other hand has a journeyman's record, and was stopped last time out by Chaiyong Sithsaithong, inside a round. That loss ended a 7 fight winning run, with all those wins coming by stoppage. Interestingly that winning run had come following a 4 losing streak. Although heavy handed the 36 year old lacks durability and has been stopped 9 times in his 35 fight career. We suspect this will end in stoppage loss #10.
