Earlier today was saw that several bookies had opened a market on this weeks upcoming IBF Super Flyweight world title eliminator between talented Filipino youngster Mark Anthony Geraldo (31-4-3, 14) and unbeaten Puerto Rican McJoe Arroyo (15-0, 8). Sadly for the talented Geraldo he is viewed as a notable under-dog, despite his clear edge in experience.
The Filipino boxer has been priced at around 6/1 by several bookies in the UK, including William Hill and Bet365. On the other hand Arroyo is 1/12. As for the draw that is priced at 25/1.
At the moment there are no other markets available on this fight unfortunately but it does seem like people are going in heavy on Arroyo. Whilst the experience, in terms of professional bouts, is certainly in favour of Geraldo he will be travelling to Arroyo's backyard for the fight and could find himself up against a very hostile crowd. Interestingly Geraldo is 2-1 on the road having beaten both Hirofumi Mukai and Efrain Perez away from home, this however will be his first bout outside of Asia.
