Just a few short hours ago Okinawa World Ring announced that Filipino boxing king Manny Pacquiao (56-5-2, 38) would be unable to make it to their August 24th show. The promoter of the show did issue an apology on their facebook account but it's still a disappointment for all the fans who bout the tickets, especially considering that the show was previously delayed for a very similar reason last month.
The reason for Pacquiao not turning appearing at the show is due to timing conflicts with Pacquiao having a notoriously busy schedule.
It's a huge shame for those who were involved in the show and fans who purchased tickets though from what we understand the show, which is headlined by OPBF Super Featherweight champion Jomthong Chuwatana (7-0, 4), will go on as it was scheduled though the loss of Pacquiao who was to be the guest of honour is a knock and may leave some fans feeling very disappointed. Thankfully for those fans the promoter has offered to refund tickets.
We've got to admit that this is a disappoint considering the same reason was already used to delay the show, which is a charity show for the Typhoon victims from earlier this year. Thankfully however the action in the ring should make up for the loss of Pacquiao, who we believe was just going to give a speech to the fans.
