Tomorrow fight fans around the globe will be able to tune into see WBO Welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao (59-6-2, 38) defending his title against the little known Jeff Horn (16-0-1, 11). The Filipino has been criticised for taking the fight, which many see as a fore gone conclusion, but the odds do make for perhaps profitable opportunities.
The "Pacman" is obviously the favourite, but he is surprisingly just a 1/5 favourite wo win, with Horn priced at 5/1 to score a career defining upset. The draw, for those interested, is available at 33/1.
A more interesting market for a bout like this is the "method of victory" market, and Pacquiao can be got at 7/5 to win by stoppage, if he scores his first inside the distance win since stopping Miguel Cotto in 2009. A decision win for the Filipino is best priced at 6/4.
For Horn backers he can be backed at 16/1 to win a decision, and 8/1 to win by stoppage and record a 4th straight stoppage win.
The general over-under is set at 9.5 rounds, with the over being priced at around 1/2, with a best price of 8/13, whilst the under is a very attractive 6/4. Notably various bookmakers do have other over/under markets available, though most are on the 9.5 rounds line. Following on from that the bout is 19/20 to not go the distance, and 20/21 to go the schedule, which really is a bit surprising given how much of a mismatch fans seem to feel this bout is.
