Earlier this week we reported that Japanese Heavyweight Kyotaro Fujimoto (12-1, 6) would not be facing Croatia's Jakov Gospic (15-13, 11) on October 21st as originally announced, that was due to an injury to Gospic. It seems that the promoters have been working hard and have already found a replacement for Gospic and, on paper at least, it looks like a better opponent than Gospic.
The new opponent is once beaten Mexican puncher David Torres Garcia (10-1, 9), a 27 year old from Durango who is dubbed "Loco".
The Mexican fighter hasn't mixed with anyone that we recognise, which Gospic had done, though Garcia will come unto this one full of confidence riding a 10 fight winning streak.
As originally reported this bout will be an 8 rounder and will take place on "Dangan 142". The bout will see Kyotaro looking to prove himself against an international opponent though in fairness so little is really known about the Mexican that it's hard to say whether a win over him will really mean anything going forward.
