Tomorrow fight fans across Japan will get the chance to see OPBF Minimumweight champion Tsubasa Koura (11-0, 8) [小浦 翼] defending his title against talented former amateur stand out Masataka Taniguchi (8-1, 6) [谷口 将隆]. The bout, which will take place at the Korakuen Hall, will be available on the Boxingraise Service and the Boxmob PPV service and is certainly an exciting bout on paper for fans watching both in person and on a screen.
Today the two men took part in their weigh in for the bout, and both came in comfortably under the 105lb limit.
The heavy handed and aggressive champion, defending his title for the first time, was around 104.25lbs and looked in amazing shape for what will be his first title defense. The 23 year from the E&J Cassius gym really looked like a man meaning business.
To be fair however Taniguchi, a 23 year old from the Watanabe gym, also looked like he had been working his backside off in training and he came in a little heavier than the champion, but still didn't push the scalles too hard. For Taniguchi the bout will be his second title fight of the year, having previously fallen short in a Japanese title fight earlier this year.
The show is scheduled to begin at 17:50 local time with the live stream expected to show the whole card.
