Koura was bang on the limit today though seemed more focused on his opponent than anything. Originally he was meant to face the teak tough Lito Dante but saw Dante being swapped for southpaw Abcede around 20 days before the fight. That appeared to annoy the heady handed Japanese fighter, who didn't have time to get sparring in for a southpaw and has stated that he will be looking to stop Abcede in the middle to later rounds as a result.
Although Abcede was a late replacement he looked like a man who had been preparing for a fight regardless, and came in in great shape, and well under the limit, weighing around 104.25lbs for the bout. He was showing some nervous but also some confidence and seemed to suggest he was going to be aggressive against Koura, which would make for a thrilling match up when the two men get in the ring together.
