We've often done our best to support Korean boxing and trying to give it some attention. Sadly we're starting to see why so many fighters have began to become disillusioned and frustrated by it.
In early February it seemed like March would be a brilliant month for Korean boxing. It seemed like the KBF were on top of things and we were set for one of the key months for the organisation. Sadly due to issues with the IBF Asia things have changed and we've seen one show cancelled and another get re-arranged.
We were expecting several IBF Asia title fights on March 1st though issues between the title body and AK Promotions saw that show cancelled. We were also expecting a Korean title double header on March 6th. As it's turned out that show has now had to be re-arranged all the way back to April 10th.
The show is set to feature Woo-Shin Kim (5-1-2, 2) battling against Sung-Tae Kim (5-10-1, 2) for the Korean Light Welterweight title and Bong-Joon Suk (8-2-1, 2) defending his Featherweight title against Sa-Myung Noh (6-2, 1), both of which look like bouts worth making a note of.
This show is genuinely interesting one so we won't bemoan the delay too much though it does feel like a frustrating change to make so close to the day of the show. Hopefully it won't need to change again between now and April.
