On May 7th fight fans will be able to see former 3-weight champion Koki Kameda (33-2, 18) [亀田 興毅] battle in an unique exhibition against 4 non-fighters with a potential ¥10,000,000 up for grabs if any of the 4 men can beat him.
Yesterday saw the press conference for the show with Kameda being joined by his 4 foes for the event and the 4 men being introduced to the media.
The former world champion admitted that he had been out of shape, due to his retirement from the sport, but has been training serious for the for the event. It seems clear that whilst this is n exhibition event he's taking it very seriously, and knows his reputation is on the line here.
As for the foes they are a variety of people. They include a school teacher and a youtube pesonality, who we believe has had a reputation for street fighting and is seemingly the most dangerous of the men set to face Kameda.
For those interested in the show it will be aired on Abema.tv.
