The Inoue family in Japan has two really successful brothers, one of those is of course WBO Super Flyweight champion Naoya Inoue whilst the other is OPBF champion Takuma Inoue. Today their cousin, Koki Inoue (2-0, 2) [井上 浩樹], proved that the boxing talent in the family doesn't just lie with the brothers.
The unbeaten Koki, who debuted last December, fought with a point to prove today, and made that point very quickly, blowing away Sultan Sithprakaifah (0-1) in just 55 seconds.
From the opening bell Inoue was on the front foot and that was instantly too much for the Thai who was dropped very early in the bout. Although he recovered to his feet the damage was done and a follow up attack just moments later sent Sultan down for the second time. This time Sultan stayed down for the whole 10 count, and fans who had attended the show in the hope of Inoue were left wanting to see much, much more of him.
Given that the fight only lasted 55 seconds there is a great chance that it will be featured in full on April 1st on Fuji TV, who were at the Korakuen Hall primarily for the Japanese Featherweight title bout between Satoshi Hosono, a stablemate Inoue, and Rikiya Fukuhara. We won't ruin that bout here, but we suggest that you try and make sure to catch the upcoming Fuji telecast, to see just how good Inoue is,
