We've recently discovered that the WBA Super Flyweight title clash between Japan's Kohei Kono (29-8, 12) and Thailand's Denkaosan Kaovichit (62-3-1, 26) will be aired on Japanese free-to-air station "TV Tokyo".
Whilst we had expected the bout to be picked up we were waiting for the official announcement of which channel which came earlier.
The great thing about the fight being televised by TV Tokyo, who do show a lot of Watanabe shows, is that this is one of the numerous channels that streaming services do have as it's free to air. This means those using services like Keyhole TV and Ninji TV will be able to watch the bout live.
Although the under-card, at least in part, has been formally announced we're unsure what portion of it TV Tokyo will be showing, though it would be no surprise if they were to show just the main event which is, sadly, the only real bout of interest for international fans.
It's expected that if Kono wins he will be challenging Koki Kameda to go and get him. Of course that bout does have issues at the moment, with the Kameda gym not currently having a license and Koki therefore not being allowed to fight in Japan, though those issues would likely be sorted out by Summer one way or another.
