Tomorrow fight fans will get the chance to see WBA Minimumweight champion Knockout CP Freshmart (13-0, 6) [น็อคเอาท์ ซีพีเฟรชมาร์ท] defending his title against Japanese challenger Shin Ono (19-7-4, 3) [小野 心] in the first of a number of Asian world title fighters in the final few weeks of the year.
Today the two men took part in the weigh in for their bout and botgh made weight for the contest, and both looked in good shape for the bout.
For Knockout the bout will be his first defense of the WBA tuitle, after winning the belt earlier this year with a decision win over Byron Rojas of Nicaragua. That win helped establish Knockout as one of the top fighters at 105lbs, along with fellow Thai Wanheng Menayothin.
As for Ono the bout will be his second world title bout, after a loss to the then IBF champion Katsunari Takayama. Since then he has failed in two Japanese title fights and will surely see this as his final opportunity to make a big mark on boxing.
For fans interested in watching this it will be aird on Channel 7 in Thailand.
