We all understand that when pull outs happen, especially days before a show, though Villanueva's replacement opponent Fernando Aguilar (9-6, 1), is a bit too much of a step down and it may have made more sense to either have taken Villanueva off the card of to have put him in a public spar and apologise to fans.
We know that Villanueva is world class, there is no arguing there, but with 24 fights behind him maybe it would have been worth just cancelling this contest after Hernandez's pull out and tried to get the youngster a decent opponent for a follow up Pinoy Pride show.
In regards to fans, they will thankfully not get a horrible show as Villanueva's stablemate, and fellow unbeaten prospect, Genesis Servania (23-0, 9) takes on his stiffest test so far. The unbeaten Servania will be fighting former world champion Alexander Munoz (36-5, 28) in the show's clear stand out bout and a contest that is very risky for Servania, especially if he tries to trade with the big hitting "El Explosivo".
