It's fair to say that Japan's Kazuto Ioka (16-1, 10) has never been shy for confidence, what boxer has? Though recent comments made to the Japanese media suggest that Ioka is in super confident mood and has set his target not just on his next fight but also a subsequent fight.
We've known for a while that Ioka is set to fight WBA Flyweight champion Juan Carlos Reveco (35-1, 19) in April. It seems that the Japanese youngster is so confident that he will win that that he has already announced that his intention is to become the first ever 2-weight unified Japanese champion.
If Ioka beats Reveco he has said his focus will shift to IBF champion Amnat Ruenroeng (14-0, 5), who defends his own title on March 7th against Zou Shiming (6-0, 1). That will give Ioka a chance to avenge his sole defeat as well as unifying titles at 112lbs, something he has previously achieved at Minimumweight.
