Earlier today former Japanese amateur standout Kazuki Tanaka (1-0, 1) made his professional debut. The talented youngster, a former amateur team mate of Kazuto Iokaboxingnews.jp, needed just 99 seconds to make an impact in the professional ranks as he made extremely light work of Thailand's Sunthonpetch Korat Sport School (12-3, 4)*.
Tanaka started fast and needed very little time to drop to the Thai who was down 3 times before the bout was stopped on the 3 knockdown rule.
Although the bout was short it was a highly impressive performance from Tanaka who seemed to immediately find a home for his left uppercut that rattled Sunthonpetch every time it landed.
After the bout Tanaka hinted that he wasn't going to be rushed too quickly but would be wanting to fight a Japanese ranked foe next year.
