Earlier this year we saw IBF Minimumweight champion Katsunari Takayama (30-7-0-1, 12) retain his title by defeating Ryuji Hara. That bout was essentially leaked by a ticket company who confirmed the bout days before it was announced.
It now seems that the same company has released the details regarding Takayama's next bout, listing him in a bout with Mexico's Jose Argumedo (13-5-1, 9), which would confirm the news we got at the start of the month.
As with Takayama's last few bouts, it will be part of an Ioka card on New Year's Eve, with the main bout being a rematch between Kazuto Ioka (18-1, 10) and Juan Carlos Reveco (36-2, 19), with Ioka defending the WBA Flyweight title against the man he beat for it earlier this year. That means Takayama Vs Argumedo will take place at the EDION Arena Osaka, and could be televised on on New Years Eve with TBS televising.
That would mean that Takayama wouldn't be in the same area as rival Kosei Tanaka (5-0, 2), who defends the WBO title in Nagoya against Filipino Vic Saludar (11-1, 9), however the two men do seem to be on a collision course for 2016.
Incidentally the same ticket site also seems to reveal that the card will feature the return of the exciting Ryo Miyazaki (23-1-3, 14), who hasn't fought since April 22nd when he stopped Namphol Sithsaithong. Sadly though there is no opponent listed for Miyazaki and it seems very unlikely that he will be facing an opponent of note.
