On New Year's Eve fight fans will get the chance to see 5 world title fights, one of which will feature IBF Minimumweight champion Katsunari Takayama (30-7-0-1, 12) defending his title against Mexican challenger Jose Argumedo (15-3-1, 9).
Today, ahead of that bout, Takayama took part in a public training session at the Nakazato Gym. The session saw Takayama giving mopre than 2 hours of his time to those in attendence with shadow boxing, bag work, skipping rope and a host of other training, though he didn't take part in any sparring, though did admit that there had been sparring in the build up for the fight.
The fighter seemed confident of retaining his title at the end of the year, and had scouted Argumedo. Saying that however it's fair to say that most fans have this bout down as a foregone conclusion with next to no one giving the challenger any chance against the multi-time champion, who is looking to unify in 2016.
